Engineering is one of the most powerful demanding courses for the students who had completed their 12th standard. Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test is a state level entrance test which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on the behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Through this entrance exam students can get admission in various professional courses in engineering, agriculture and pharmacy and also get admission to many government and private institutions in the state.
A. Examination Pattern
Medium of Entrance Test
The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium only. Candidates, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Hyderabad only.

D. Eligibility Criteria
Age:
- Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2018
- The upper age limit of 22 years for general candidates and 25 years for SC and ST candidates as on 31st December 2017.
Qualification:
- Candidate should qualify 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics recognized by the Board.
- Candidates should secure a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category)
or
- Candidates qualifying Diploma exam in Engineering by the State Board of Technical Education & Training, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or Diploma in engineering can also apply for the examination.
