CGL (Combined Graduate Level) is a recruitment examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for subordinate staff employment. The exam is conducted in 4 stages called Tiers. The first two tiers will be conducted online and the next two will be offline exams. Staff Selection Commission has made some important amendments to the eligibility criteria of SSC CGL aspirants as per the latest notification releases regarding SSC CGL 2018 Examination.

(B) Permissible relaxation in upper age limit as well as category-codes for claiming Age Relaxation as on the date of reckoning (i.e. 01.08.2018) is as follows:

| 9 | For Group “C” posts Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application | Up to 40 years of age |
| 10 | Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application | Up to 45 years of age |

C. Educational Qualification
The candidate must also hold the required educational qualification for each post to be filled through SSC CGL 2018 exam.
