Southern Railway Recruitment for Apprentices 2018

Southern Railways has issued the official recruitment notification to invites interested and eligible candidates to apply for the positions of act/trade apprentice. The candidates who are looking for this chance can apply the application from the offical website before last date on 11.04.2018.

 

A. Selection Process

The section process:

(i) Shortlisting

(ii) Physical Fitness Test

(iii) Medical Fitness Test

(i) Shortlisting:

It will be on the basis of marks obtained in 10th and ITI.

(ii) Physical Fitness Test:

1) There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or the lids of either eye.

2) You should satisfy the minimum standard of physical fitness as prescribed in the Apprentices Act/Rules.

(iii) Medical Fitness Test:

1) You should be free from evidence of any contagious or infectious disease.

2) You should be free from evidence of tuberculosis in any form (active or healed).

D. Eligibility Criteria

A. Age Limit – The age of the candidates should be maximum 24 years (Ex.ITI)/22 years (fresher – fitter) and minimum 15 years. The upper age is relaxed by three years for OBC candidates, five years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for persons with disability (PWD) candidates.

B. Educational Qualification:

Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Mechanic (diesel/instrument), Advance Welder: Aspirants should have passed class 10 examination or its equivalent and should possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.

Carpenter, Painter, Welder (gas and electric), Wireman: Aspirants should have passed class 8 examination with science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. They should also possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.

Plumber/Electrician: Aspirants should have passed class 10 examination or its equivalent with science as one of the subjects. They should also possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.

Electronics Mechanics: Aspirants should have passed class 10 examination or its equivalent with science as one of the subjects and mathematics or its equivalent. They should also possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.
