Engineering is one of the most powerful demanding courses for the students who had completed their 12th standard. Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test is a state level entrance test which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Through this entrance exam students can get admission in various professional courses in engineering, agriculture and pharmacy and also get admission to many government and private institutions in the state.
A. Examination Pattern
Medium of Entrance Test
The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium only. Candidates, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Kurnool only.

D. Eligibility Criteria
Age:
- Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2018
- The upper age limit of 22 years for general candidates and 25 years for SC and ST candidates as on 31st December 2017.
Qualification:
- Candidate should qualify 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics recognized by the Board.
- Candidates should secure a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category)
or
- Candidates qualifying Diploma exam in Engineering by the State Board of Technical Education & Training, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or Diploma in engineering can also apply for the examination.
QUALIFYING MARKS FOR AP EAMCET – 2018
The qualifying percentage of marks for the AP EAMCET-2018 is 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed.
AP EAMCET-2018 RESULTS
1. Evaluation: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in the evaluation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation, normalization and ranking.
2. Ranking:
a. Candidates shall be ranked based on the EAMCET normalized marks (75% weightage) and 10+2 (25% weightage) in the order of merit as explained in the Annexure-IV and Annexure-V.
b. Rank obtained in AP EAMCET-2018 is valid for admission to the courses mentioned in the application form for the academic year 2018-2019 only.
c. Rank card shall be downloaded from the website www.sche.ap.gov.in/eamcet
d. Rank obtained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at AP EAMCET-2018 by any candidate claiming as SC/ST Category will be cancelled in case the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission to any course of study in any participating University / Institution.
E. Marks Scheme Details
One mark for each correct response and there is no negative marking for wrong answer.
